Good PR, Bad PR

I absolutely hate being pushed around. This morning, like any other morning, I climbed aboard an fx van to go to work. One of the "barkers" suddenly opened the door and asked us to transfer to the cab, I ran like crazy because I wanted the front seat like the van only to have them ask us to go back to the van once we settled into the cab. God I was annoyed. Another person was already seated in the front seat. I get claustrophobic when I'm squished in the middle hence the need to secure the front seat. I ended up taking the MRT which I was glad to have taken since I read a lot of tweets saying that it was traffic despite the school vacation.

Back when I was in grade school, I found a high heeled shoe that looked nice in Shoe Salon, unfortunately it was a size too small for me. But the salesman managed to convince me by saying that it was the last pair they had and if I don't get it, sayang naman. An hour later after my purchase, I passed by Shoe Salon and saw the pair of shoes I bought being displayed again! Gah! I was tricked! I absolutely hated the feeling that I ended up never wearing the shoes. And up to this day, 10 years later, I have never ever bought a pair of shoes from Shoe Salon. I was deceived.

I will never shop from Shoe Salon ever. On a lighter note, I recently discovered and actually like Geleia in Trinoma - recently purchased a Melissa + Isabela Capeto beige floral flats and I love their service. They took out all the colors in my size and had no complaints whatsoever even if I asked for other designs.

Needless to say, Geleia, I'll be back!

This would have been lovelier but they didn't have it yet. :(

When I go to a restaurant and ask for their best-seller, I hate it when waiters tell me "everything". Gah, the next time a waiter tells me everything, I will walk out of that restaurant.

I like restos that have bestseller icons, it helps streamline the choices.

When I try on clothes in a store and come out trying to look at the clothes from afar, I don't like it when the sales lady always says "Bagay sa iyo"(It suits you) and to all the clothes I will fit. What's worse if they say it's nice when it looks terrible!

if I love you and you treat me right, I will be loyal forever - Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams, Forever 21, H&M and Zara.

KRIS KRINGLE: Something Big

I never thought it would be hard to find something BIG for Php 100 pesos ($2) I short listed the following for my fashionable friend: ...a big box of tissue (useful) ...a big toblerone (but this is WAY over budget) ...a big trash bin ...a case of big oatmeal cookies (last resort) ...a big mirror ...a big bookmark (which i couldn't find anywhere) ...a BIG beer (unrelated) ...a big organizer it's quite difficult really. But I must search for something else. PRESSURE! On a side note, Jamie treated us to Pizza Hut's Lechon pizza. After eating, I felt like I would pass out at any moment due to high cholesterol but it was quite tasty if you're a fan of Lechon (roasted pig). The pizza did taste a bit like Mang Tomas' lechon sauce. A big slice of Pizza hut's lechon pizza

Around Manila: Exploring the streets of J.P. Rizal in Marikina

It is funny how we know the history and culture of a land we do not live in yet know so little about where we live. Thus, began our mission to explore Manila, one city at a time. DESTINATION: Marikina Starting Time: 11am End Time: 5pm How to get to J.P. Rizal in Marikina - Waze (app) and Google Maps Marikeno (native people in Marikina) are said to be the most disciplined people in the Philippines. If the cleanliness around Marikina were a testament to that, Marikenos would pass with flying colors. The streets I could say were similar to those in Singapore - free from litter and we saw people from households cleaning their own front area even if it were facing a street. SHOE CAPITAL of the Philippines Marikina produces 70% of the shoes in the country. and holds the World's Largest Pair of Shoes, recognized by the Guinness World Records. In Marikina, you can find the Shoe Museum which houses 800 out of the 3000 shoes that were part of the famous shoe collection of the
