Good to Rub

It was a saturday night and we were craving for fuss free good free without the frills - fast service is a must and cozy interiors. My brother suggested we try Rub, a hole in a wall place located in  64 Scout Rallos,  Tomas  Morato, Quezon City When we arrived, we actually had to wait for tables to empty. The place is pretty small.   We ordered the Family Bunch with corn and mashed potato. No frills just ribs :) Interior was filled with pop art  The ribs lived up to its expectation - smoked barbeque goodnes tender to the bite. Fast, cheap and yummy!

Tagaytay peat 2

It's been years since I went to Tagaytay and here I am, going to Tagaytay twice in just one long weekend! I woke up early after a late night at the casino with friends to a bright Monday holiday morning. I wore the wrong outfit because of the rain, Tagaytay was pretty nippy when we got there. Neverthless and not wanting to be fazed by the foggy  weather, we headed to Josephine's to have breakfast since it was full everywhere! We ordered bagoong and i forgot what it's name rice Seafood Boulbaisse  (my favorite creamy soup, perfect for the nippy weather) Sinfully good crispy pata (deep fried porkloin) And had our portraits drawn by a local artist in the resto. The day ended with some shopping at the outlet stores in Nuvali. My favorite among the lot was Debenhams and Bench

Here's to the long weekend!

To celebrate our friend's big 3-0, we decided to do it with a bang and plan a whole weekend of fun. But first, the surprise! We asked our friend to go to the mall while we checked in at the Remington hotel to prepare the flowers and messages on the bed. Donna was pleasantly surprised and amused. It took us a month after to surprise her :( Better late than never right? Imagine hger  A round of photo op for the wacky balloons stolen from a children's birthday party. \ We capped the night playing at the casino, laughing at our own stupidity and dumb luck at the slot machine :)

Marcia Adams' Tuscany, Tagaytay

Work has been so busy these past few months/year that life outside of work has taken a backseat. But I vowed to change all that starting now. I promise (friends, feel free to quote me on this) that I will say yes to all the lunches and dinners planned :) The plan was to go to Tagaytay. The meeting time? when everyone is awake, the meet up place, a common area to be decided tomorrow. Fun is about to begin! Getting to Tagaytay was easy enough with a driver in tow. Finding Marcia Adams proved to be tougher. We were hours late for our reservation (You need to reserve in advance, they don't encourage walk-ins) - it's hard to haul ourselves off the bed when the crumpled sheets look so tempting :) But finally after passing the big arc with fruits and turing right in an unmarked road, we finally saw the adobe walls and the wooden unmarked door, hiding Marcia Adams Tuscany.  Our car had to be left on top while we walked along the cobbled garden steps leading to the dini

Stuck in Makati

Habagat + Rain As I was busily working on a presentation, I somehow overheard the news anchor broadcasting that it was heavily flooded in Quezon City and that people have to take more caution in going home to avoid flooded areas. I looked out my window and saw the rain pouring down on our window as if it were the end of the world. My mom called me up and told me that it was also pointless to go home since it was flooded in our area so either I wait it out or spend the night elsewhere. It was a good thing that I had a friend/officemate living in the same as I did - we were both stuck in Makati. You do feel a little better knowing that you have someone with you going through the same thing you're going through. While we were half afraid for our families, we were also half excited for the impromptu sleepover. We began scouting for available hotels in Makati. It was raining heavily at that time and I didn't want to venture anywhere farther than De La Rosa which did limit

Creating Talkability

Creating Talkability This one I really like - going to the extreme

Videos worth sharing

It's been a long time since I last liked and shared a video. > Breathtaking video around Paris This video lets you travel-visually - while you're stuck doing a report for clients. If I had an overhead projector, this will be THE moving vision board.   Paris In Motion (Part I) from Mayeul Akpovi on Vimeo . > Adorable proposal using Internet meme plus the wedding vows  Every girl wants to be swept off their feet. :) Tim's proposal reminds me of the very romantic scene in the movie Love Actually when Mark (Andrew Lincoln) stood at the doorstep of Juliet's (Keira Knightley) house, showing her messages written in whiteboards. Sigh. Meme Proposal | Tim * Audrey from Crazy Monkey Studio on Vimeo .   Meme Proposal Sequel | Tim * Audrey from Crazy Monkey Studio on Vimeo .
