New Astrological Sign

I got this from spot.ph Professor Parke Kunkle of the Minnesota Planetarium Society said zodiac signs have changed because the Earth's equatorial alignment has changed over the years, Fox 9 reported yesterday. "Right now, it's pointing this way, the North Star, but in 3000 BC it was pointing differently... Now things have moved and the sun is in a different constellation. We're about a whole constellation off," Kunkle said. The new zodiac sign Ophiuchus, the snake-holder , "has been a constellation for years and just gets left out," Kunkle added. According to Huffington Post , the new zodiac sign dates are: Capricorn: January 20 - February 16 Aquarius: February 16 - March 11 Pisces: March 11- April 18 Aries: April 18 - May 13 Taurus: May 13 - June 21 Gemini: June 21 - July 20 Cancer: July 20 - August 10 Leo: August 10 - September 16 Virgo: September 16 - October 30 Libra: October 30 - November 23 Scorpio: November 23 - November 29 Ophiuchus: November 29

Beastly - COMING SOON!!!

I'm so excited to watch Beastly!!! I have been waiting for this since last year! To be released March 18, 2011

27 Days

In my six years, I have never worn a skirt to the office on weekdays. Whenever I wear dresses or skirts, I always wear opaque stockings. Yesterday, I wore a skirt for to start the year right. Never mind that it's around 22-28 degrees outside and the wind is chilly. I will make up for the lost time that I have never even attempted to wear a skirt/dress. So starting yesterday, I will wear dresses/skirt during weekdays for 27 days. Why 27? Well, that's all the skirt/dresses that I have in my closet, that's why! :D

Chances Are

Yesterday was like any ordinary day. I sat in a cab and waited for others who are going to Ayala to share the cab with me. A couple of minutes later, a guy and a girl entered the cab. After a couple of minutes another guy came in and we left the parking area. A few minutes into the cab ride, the "gay" guy started to talk to the girl he was with. They started off with talking about the usual questions being asked in job interviews. He said: How do you handle stress? and instantly I knew they were going to Makati in search of a job opportunity. When they started naming call centers that we passed by, I knew that they are fresh grads looking for a job. The guy started talking about his family and how they need money. How people owe them money but never did pay up. He also talked about their friends and how one time one of their dorm mates strutted out from the shower wearing nothing but a towel, covering her front but not the back. Thirty minutes later, as we were nearing Makati

Sunday BBQ

We wanted to start the weekend of 2011 with a bang so we hosted a Sunday BBQ at our house with some relatives. My mom and I went to 2 groceries to complete our BBQ menu. I drove to Monterey's in Retiro to buy some pork then off to Waltermart in E.Rodriguez to buy chicken and other ingredients. To make the barbecue's more tasty, we had to marinade them earlier, hence the rush to go to different groceries. We started grilling at 10:30AM and we were off to a rough start. The first few barbecue sticks had burned sides since we waited too long before flipping it. The next few batches were better, thanks to my aunt who is an avid fan cooking shows (Hot off the Grill). The best thing about having a barbecue at home is that you can eat freshly grilled meat while the juice is still in the meat. Second batch looks better than the first but tastes the same. Milkfish waiting for its turn to be barbecued. Even my dog wants in on the action. He was waiting for any food that might have fallen

Kevin's debut

A BIG happy birthday to Kevin, our officemate who turns 21 today.

I love LEGO

As a kid, I would spend countless hours playing with my brother or by myself. Not a day would go by that I will not play. There are a lot of toys to enjoy when I was young but compared to the new generation, they have more. I had my Barbie's, Duplo, my stuffed toys of my favorite character and sometimes a G.I. Joe, here and there, stolen from my brother and my longtime love, LEGO. Lego would always be the foundation of whatever story I created. I would have houses, towers, tables made from Lego and countless of hours begin from that piece. But after my time, I rarely see my younger cousins play LEGO the way I used to, somehow, LEGO has lost it's magic on young kids. It's nice to see this short video on LEGO once again. Reminds me back when everything was simple. All that I wanted was new LEGOS to play with. Also, there's a relatiely new store in the malls called BUILD CITY where they sell LEGOs! Too bad that it's twice or thrice the price compared to the US. When I

I Do

Another first. Before 2010 ended, I already have a five weddings to go to. I have never attended the Church wedding itself, normally we just go to the reception given our busy schedules. But this year, I will make it a point to attend the Church weddings. We arrived 20 minutes late because we had only 2 hours to have everything done - from buying a card for the gift, hair & make-up and change. By the time we got to the Church, we saw the bride, standing at the door of the Chapel, waiting for the signal to enter the Church. I was quite fixated. Here is my former teammate, standing at the door of the Church looking divine in her white dress about to begin a new chapter in her life. We all wanted to shout out to her and cheer her on but we knew she was in her moment, concentrating on the MOMENT. So we snuck in the back, hurriedly occupying the nearest vacant pew and looked back at the door. The Church was eeriely silent as we were waiting for the bride to come in. Not even the kids in
