Autumn in Korea: Lovely Nami

November 26, 2010 I was quite nervous when we got to the airport. I still had my spots and I was afraid I might get a fever when we pass by the body warmth checker or whatever it is called. But praise the Lord I did pass it with a breeze. We waited for around 3 hours before we were boarded. We played Category games just to amuse ourselves. Here we are goofing around, pretending we were on our way to Australia. Oh did I mention that we stopped by KFC for dinner and I almost cried in disappointment when I realized that I couldn't eat chicken. Sigh, I had to go to a nearby restaurant and eat bland Roasted Pork. Not to mention the boisterous drunk table behind me while I waited by my lonesome self for my food because the others could eat in KFC. After three and a half hours on air, I couldn't wait to leave the airplane. After using Cebu Pacific in almost all my travel, I couldn't help but compare their service. First and most important to me is the staff. The staff from Cebu Pa

A series of unfortunate events

This is what I can call the week leading to our trip to Korea. First, I had my face treated 5 days before our trip and the promise that it will heal within 3-5 days has failed. I can still see the spots. I need to use heavy concealer to hide them. Praise the day concealer was created. Second, for some unknown reason I have viral infection which was aggravated by the Chicken broth i had for Sunday lunch and Crab for Sunday dinner. The horrific commute home Monday night and the exasperating change of venue during the morning. Not to mention the tuna I consumed during breakfast before my visit to the doctor. Now I have red spots all over my body, Reddish eye and swollen face. And I cannot eat any allergy triggering food. Basically, I'm down to veggies and pork. And all the buffet meals included in our trip? Goodbye. Did I mention I have slight fever at night? Body Heat scanner target! With all this, how am I supposed to look like my passport picture? That is if I pass the body heat sc

DIY Project: Cityscape Headboard

For months now I have been contemplating on what to do with my room. Finally I decided on incorporating one of my favorites- cityscape. I actually had no idea where to start. In my earlier post I had a hard time deciding what color to choose from. But I finally thought that instead of changing my room color, I should just add my favorite elements. Lo and behold, my new headboard: Made from plyboard with gray paint. I spent the whole night drawing the cityscape. This is how it looks like complete with lights. The finished product with lights. I love it so :)

Our Lady of Manaoag

This is my first time to visit Our lady of Manaoag Church. It was a long drive before we actually got to Manaoag. Being a popular Church and all, the Church was packed with people. line to buy candles. mahaba haba hopefully our wishes will be granted sana. I did light 3 candles :) crown is made from real diamonds A little research gave me this: Nuestra SeƱora del Santissimo Rosario de Manaoag, literal translation: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary of Manaoag ) is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary , associated with a statue in Manaoag, Pangasinan said to be from the 16th century. She is the patroness of the sick, the helpless and the needy.
