Why do people read novels?

It's been a long time since I last picked up a book.

The last book I read was a couple of months ago. The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Truth be told, I have forgotten what it's like to read a book, to get that exciting rush of emotions intertwined with my everyday routine. I am quite emotional, I cry at moving commercials and touching scenes- and no matter how many times I've seen it, it always makes me cry. I like books that excite me whether its an action packed, suspense or romance novel. I'm all for it. I normally judge a book from the short plot in the back. If I like it, I buy it.

Reading gives me a quick escape - a fantasy propelled by imagination of how an exciting life can be. I secretly want to be the protagonist, leading the life of adventure/action/romance seeing the world in a different lens, jumping from one to the next.

Reading can take me to different places I've only dreamed about. Reading brings to life imagination.

I am happy that I've re-discovered my love for reading. Now if only I can afford all of them.

Keep on reading :)

But I must search for something else. PRESSURE! On a side note, Jamie treated us to Pizza Hut's Lechon pizza. After eating, I felt like I would pass out at any moment due to high cholesterol but it was quite tasty if you're a fan of Lechon (roasted pig). The pizza did taste a bit like Mang Tomas' lechon sauce. A big slice of Pizza hut's lechon pizza

Around Manila: Exploring the streets of J.P. Rizal in Marikina

It is funny how we know the history and culture of a land we do not live in yet know so little about where we live. Thus, began our mission to explore Manila, one city at a time. DESTINATION: Marikina Starting Time: 11am End Time: 5pm How to get to J.P. Rizal in Marikina - Waze (app) and Google Maps Marikeno (native people in Marikina) are said to be the most disciplined people in the Philippines. If the cleanliness around Marikina were a testament to that, Marikenos would pass with flying colors. The streets I could say were similar to those in Singapore - free from litter and we saw people from households cleaning their own front area even if it were facing a street. SHOE CAPITAL of the Philippines Marikina produces 70% of the shoes in the country. and holds the World's Largest Pair of Shoes, recognized by the Guinness World Records. In Marikina, you can find the Shoe Museum which houses 800 out of the 3000 shoes that were part of the famous shoe collection of the
