West River Side

After coming back from Korea, disregarding the North Korea bombing and all, I have answered a lot of questions regarding the safety of travelling to South Korea. The bombing happened a couple of days before we were supposed to fly to Korea. And after coming back unharmed, yes, it was safe to travel to South Korea when we were there. We never encountered any real danger. We just avoided the demilitarized zone but other than that, it was all good. The bombing occurred somewhere near the border between North and South Korea and quite far from Seoul. I think media tends to exaggerate events that are sometimes isolated, take the case of the hostage taking of the Chinese nationals in Manila. Here's to hoping that local media will properly investigate before they report anything. People need to hear the real details.

November 28, 2010 I had too much fun this morning. We got home at around 6:30AM at least that is what they told me. And by the time I got to my hotel room, I just went to sleep, boots, jacket and all. I couldn't muster the energy to wake up and remove them since I was quite woozy and not thinking straight. The next thing I know, I woke up with a start, glanced to my right for the time and saw that it was already 9AM. OMG. I'm so late. I was tempted to wear the clothes from the night before but it smelled of smoke and beer so I called my friend first. She woke up a few minutes before I did and was able to change into fresh clothes but sans bath and all. I told her to leave me behind and I will just follow wherever they will go. November 27, 2010 After tossing and turning the whole night, I did manage to fall asleep and wake up at 7AM. This is the first time that I am alone in a hotel room. I woke up right on time and just had enough extra time for a full breakfast. Since it rained yesterday, we were greeted with snow in the morning. November 26, 2010 I was quite nervous when we got to the airport. I still had my spots and I was afraid I might get a fever when we pass by the body warmth checker or whatever it is called. But praise the Lord I did pass it with a breeze. We waited for around 3 hours before we were boarded. We played Category games just to amuse ourselves. Here we are goofing around, pretending we were on our way to Australia. Oh did I mention that we stopped by KFC for dinner and I almost cried in disappointment when I realized that I couldn't eat chicken.
