In the world we live in today, it is essential to know more than one language. The world is getting smaller and although Google can help us translate some of the foreign words we encounter online, it can only do so much. I am fluent in Filipino and English. I can speak Fookien and basic Mandarin. But I still want to develop Mandarin and hopefully pick up words or phrases from other languages. Hence, the best teacher that is both entertaining while you’re still learning is watching series from other countries. Hence, I spend my some of my free time watching Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese series. I actually get to practice and pick up a few phrases just by watching them.
