Of Kris Kringle and Mickey

This year, we decided to have a Kris Kringle amongst the two teams. Mechanics: First KK : Buy something BIG for your teammate worth Php 100 ($2.50). Then wear an ugly sweater on Friday and have your picture taken beside the Christmas tree in the lobby. Second KK: Each person should think of a showbiz personality starting with the letter C and that will be his/her codename, then write at least 3 wishlist within the range of Php 350 ($8). Since we were all curious as to who wrote what, we decided to have another game. Guess the person behind the codename. The clues? The wishlist provided. It took me a while to guess because I kept on getting 3 names jumbled up. Finally, I guessed them all. It was fun to get a short break from work. Speaking of breaks, this is my dog, Mickey who is about 9 years old and absolutely hates getting cold baths. One time when the maids were washing the garage, he actually jumped up to a white wicker chair to avoid getting wet and having soap suds. Looks like h...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I was quite down this morning so I had to make sure that I end my day right. It doesn't take much to make me happy. A text from a close friend can make my day, but that can be hard to predict. So when my officemates finally had the time to watch the Christmas lights show featuring parols at the Ayala Triangle, I made sure that it did happen. We left the office 10 minutes before 6PM and we made it with a couple of minutes to spare. I loved the show because it managed to whisk away my sadness and brighten my night, literally and figuratively. It started out dark... but by the end, Ayala Triangle was well lit :D Another photo opportunity. Happy Halloween Happy Feet Style!

This year, the company decided to have a design your work area contest once again. While we were out, there was an email blast appointing me and Donna as representatives for the team. Anyway, initially the team decided on Glee, but since the kids wouldn't know anything about Glee, they changed it to Madagascar. When we came back, somehow I manage to persuade (well actually she was also thinking of doing Happy Feet before I came in) my boss to change it to Happy Feet. We discussed it with the whole team and they agreed. Yehey! Somehow I couldn't work on Madagascar because I couldn't picture it in my mind! But we were all so busy, we didn't have the time to actually set-up the place. Other groups were already starting but we were still far from designing process. This is what the place looked like on Thursday (one day before the Halloween Party) 9:30pm Left cloth is shower curtain, rock wall is made from crumpled newspaper covered in white japanese paper, mountain scenery...
